You can do more as part of a team!
Our classic kindergarten class is designed for children between 3 and 4 years of age. These know very well how to say hello, and that they should wash their hands before eating. It’s time for more skills!
Experienced teachers begin to notice what each child excels at, and gradually support their love of music, painting or, for example, building blocks. Maybe this is just where the career of a famous violinist, talented graphic artist or world-famous architect is sparked.
Two teachers and an assistant assign children creative tasks every day and support their imagination. With the help of games and stories, they help children find a place in their micro-world and build up self-confidence that they will one day need in real life.
However, the most important task in this period is to show children how to work together, be polite, help each other and thus make new friends. Only then will children grow up to be team players rather than individualists who struggle with the world. These are important foundations for preschoolers and then for school.
Sports are a big help in this respect. Children at this age love to move and encounter the concept of rules for the first time. The energy they have been using only to joyfully hop about is now used to compete, practice motor skills and learn the rules of fair play.
Therefore, there is always one athlete in our pedagogical team who supports the joy of movement in children and leads them in the right direction. Currently, this is role is filled by Sheldon, a native English speaker who is also a rugby player for our national team. You could not even imagine a better assistant!
Who is who?
Teachers
Each class is led by two graduated and above all experienced teachers who are tasked with preparing the children for the first grade in the form of games and more challenging tasks. They develop childrens’ emotional aspects, motor and social skills. They are extremely friendly to the children but at the same time they show them the rules which they will be encountering for the rest of their life.
Teaching assistant
Helps our skilled educators and contributes significantly to the educational process. The assistant is always close by and helping with all the little daily things of their life. Follows the instructions of teachers, helps with children with special educational needs as well as gifted children.
Bilingual assistant
Our preschool has many children with a different native language who speak Czech to various degrees or even not at all. That’s why we created the role of a bilingual assistant who helps the children avoid feeling lonely or disoriented. They speak in the child’s naive language or makes sure that the child understands in another form – like flashcards.
Daily programme
The daily programme looks very similar for all classes but of course the levels of complexity of each game and exercise differ.
